Peter Binkley is White Magnolia\u2019s most senior student and our most senior student instructor.\u00a0 The depth of Peter\u2019s practice, his skillfulness in teaching and the steadiness of his presence is an inspiration to Miriam and to all of the instructors and students at White Magnolia.\u00a0 He teaches classes of every level at White Magnolia.\u00a0 Peter writes:<\/p>\n

I've had the good fortune to be a student at White Magnolia for over ten years under the excellent guidance of my teacher and head instructor Miriam Marsolais.\u00a0 After the first five years or so Miriam asked me to help some of the newer students with their Tai Chi and as time passed I eventually became an instructor at the school. I make every attempt to faithfully pass on the knowledge that I have acquired from Miriam, other Teachers, and the students in our practice.\u00a0 A few years ago Miriam was asked to start a Tai Chi program at San Quentin State Prison.\u00a0 She asked me if I was willing to join her in this project and I quickly accepted.\u00a0 Since that time we have been going every Wednesday to the Catholic Chapel in San Quentin.\u00a0 It has been a very rewarding experience for us and for the inmates we instruct. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Tai Chi for me has become a way of life.\u00a0 The learning never ends.\u00a0 It influences my every day.\u00a0 I try and take what I've learned in the studio and see how it applies to my life in general.\u00a0 Miriam would say \"if you leave the school feeling better than when you came in, the Tai Chi is working\".\u00a0 I hope that is the case.\u00a0 I know it is with me.\u00a0 Happy practice! <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
